It’s average depth is 1.5 m (4.9 ft), where as its max depth is 4.5 m (15 ft).The unique and the best  thing about the largest Asian lake is that it becomes a farm land for rice cultivation during winter till March and then the land fills with water and becomes a lake.

The best time to visit the lake is during rainy season. At that time the lake transforms into a river because of the rise of water and the water meets Kushira River through Kakra River and flows to Bangladesh.
